Christopher V. Carani, editor of Wolters Kluwer's, Design Rights: Functionality and Scope of Protection, Volume 3 AIPPI Law Series, will lead a discussion on hot topics in design law. He will be joined by a panel of design law experts to discuss developments in EU, US, Mexican and Turkish design law.

Discussion topics include:

  • Update on recent EU design law cases, including DOCERAM (functionality) and Mast-Jägermeister (scope of protection)
  • Update on recent US design law cases, including Apple v. Samsung (remedies) and In re Maatita (drawing requirements)
  • Update on new Mexican and Turkish Design Laws
